Welcome to Future View Dressage stables where our goal is to train top quality horses and riders for the future.
Trainer, rider and coach Cheryl Meisner has been a dedicated horse person since the age of 13. Her early days in the saddle were focused in the discipline of eventing in her native province of Nova Scotia, Canada. In 2001 she was hired as the head rider for Lobster Point Farms in Chester Nova Scotia. Since this time she has trained exclusively with Bert Rutten of the Netherlands, a two time Olympian and team trainer for the 2004 Athens Olympic games for the Netherlands. Having spent many years living and training in the Netherlands as well as competing internationally under the watchful eye of her coach, Cheryl has developed a good eye for quality horses and has proven her abilities in both training horses and in the show ring.
Cheryl was also a short listed Canadian rider for over 10 years with her horse Paganini, an approved Crown predicate KWPN stallion, Tango a KWPN gelding by Obelisk and Lucky Strike a KWPN gelding by Olympic Ferro. Paganini and Cheryl were also ranked as the first reserve rider for Canada during the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington Kentucky. Cheryl also competed at the 2013 World Dressage Masters in Wellington, Florida.
With an extensive competition history and decades of experience with many horses, Cheryl has a quiet and effective way of riding and producing progression and results in her horses and students. Her training and coaching style is respectful, clear and classically correct, from beginner to advanced. Cheryl is available for lessons at Future View Dressage in Truro, Nova Scotia and will also travel for clinics within the Maritime provinces, Ontario and the USA.
